Ah! So I was telling my girlfriend who’s also a metal gear fan and she came up with a brilliant theory. She thinks the 5 is from metal gear 5, the inverse 3 belongs to the word ‘playstation 3′ (Sony sometimes does this inverse thing, and so does Kojima), and then e3 of course. That seems consistent with what’s been heard through the Japanese 7-11, and seems plausible enough!

UPDATE: So as plausible as that sounded, I guess the ‘inverse 3′ is probably just the E for Existence, if the tradmarked Metal Gear Solid Existence thing is true.
